PLUNKET SOCIETY.
A meeting ■ of the above society was held in' the Nurse's room, Town Hall, on Friday, Srd s May. Present: Mesdames de Latottr : (chair), Ongley, Som'merville,' Tiinbs, Carpenter, Mercer, Matthews, McCormick, Joblin and the secretary. Nurse Parlane reported that there are now 224 babies on the books. Of these 50 are breast fed, 25 are partly breast fed, and 42 are artificially fed, and 107 are over nine months old. During the month there were ten new cases. She paid 122 visits to homes, and received 141 visitors at the office; she received seven letters and notes, and three mothers were instructed how to make humanised milk. As all subscriptions for the year 1918-19 are now due, it was decided to start collecting at once. The following subscriptions have been received: —Mesdames Mitchell, Grant, Boyd, Batley, Joblin, Revel, McCormick, de Latour, Mercer, McLennan and Jurgens.
