IRISH FREEDOM MEETING -IN i NEW YORK, ■):• -...': NEW YORK, May 5. « An Irish Freedom Society meeting, in Madison Square Garden, ' bitterly denounced England, those present taking an oath to stand by Ireland. Mrs. Sheehy Skeffington said that if the hope of Britain was Irish conscription. England would be wiped out. England would, she declared, be defeated by the spirit of the Sinn Fein_ A number of members of the American secret service were present at the meeting. VISCOUNT FRENCH APPOINTED LORD-LIEUTENANT.
