WELLINGTON LAND BOARD

Tlie Wellington Land Board held its usual monthly sitting on Friady and Saturday last, when the following business of interest to this district was transacted. The folowing transfers were approved:— Section 10, Ohakune Y.S., 5 acres, J. E. Blackburn to R. McPherson (provided transferee’s land is exchanged for this); section 24, block 1, Horopito township, R. Morrissey to Mr. Morris; section 5, block 6, Tiriraukawa, 200 acres, representatives of W. R. Campbell to 'A. F. Loveridge; sections 3 and 4 block 9, Ohinewairua, 98 and 9 9acres, V. J. W. Redmond to T. S. Davies. The following applications for fee simple were approved: Section sa, block 8 Tiriraukawa S. D., 16 acres, R. McNeill; section 6, block 8, Tiriraukawa S.D., 150 acres, R. McNeill; sections 3 and 6 block 9, Pukeokahu, 200 acres, K. E. Brickland; section 4 and part 9, block 9, Pukeokahu 130 acres. H. E. Brickland.

The Rangitikei County Council applied to have the thirds from certain sections in Ohinewairua, Pukeokahu, and Ruahine Survey Districts, hypothecated in reduction of special rates as security for the Pukeriaua-Namu-nui and Omatane North Special Loans. —Approved. A report was received from the ranger on lots 1 and 2 of section 1, block 2, Taihape township, each 17.2 per-ches.—-It was resolved to offer for cash by public auction lot 1 at an upset price of £525, and lot 2 at £3OO. A report was received from the ranger on lots 1 and 2 of section 82, block 14, Ohinewairua S.D., 2a 2r lOp and 2a Or 18p respectively.—-It was resolved to offer them for cash by public auction at upset prices of £250 and £2OO respectively. Charles Beaumont, of Owhango, sur. rendered his license to occupy section 1, block 4, Kaitieke S.D., 1 rood, on condition that this section is offered for cash by public auction loaded with the value of his improvements.—lt was resolved to accept the surrender and offer the section for cash by public auction at an upset price of £BO, weighted with £2500 for improvements. . . ■ v An aplication was received on, behalf. of J. F.Studholaie. .for a permit to take a telephone, wire over- Crown lands in Raketapauma block; —It was resolved that the beard has no; objection provided that when -land; is sub-divided later on the line is removed or altered on request if found necessary. • C. P. Hansen applied for a permit to occupy an, area of about 68 acres of Crown land west of railway in Waiouru Town Reserve.—lt was resolved to adjourn application for further particulars. Joseph Cody wrote, requesting reconsideration of his' application for section 9, block 6, Whirinaki S.D., 18a Or 15p. —It was 'resolved to decline.
