AUSTRIA'S FOOD SHORTAGE. FAILURE OF UKRAINE SUPPLIES. BERNE, April 23. The burgo-master of Vienna, at a public meeting, declared that available foodstuffs were very scanty, and the greatest sacrifices would be necessary during the coining weeks. The official organisations had broken down. He voiced' disappointment at the failure of Ukraine supplies, and stated that Austria's only hope lay in obtaining further aid from Germany.
