PALESTINE.

TURKS TAKE OFFENSIVE, CAIRO, April 17. Enemy activity is reported on the whole of the Palestine front eastward of the Jordan. The enemy, attacking a bridgehead at Ghorandyeh, was caught by our artillery, and suffered heavily. Mounteds pursued prisonering 53. Many enemy dead were on the ground. An attack northward of Wadiraja was repulsed. Tho enemy repeatedly attacked between Berukin and Eafat. In most stubborn fighting they reached Berukin, but later were driven out and the position restored.
