"ANZAC DAY.”

His Worship the Mayor has publicly invited all residents of the Taihape district to attend a memorial service in the Taihape Town Hall, on Anzac Day, Thursday, 25th April. Similar servies are being held in every centre of the Dominion, and it is hoped that Taihape will show no less appreciation of the world-famed Anzacs than other communities. There is to be a compulsory parade of all military services. The 43rd Company, Senior Cadets ahd D Company of the 7th Regiment, under Lieut. R. A. Davies, together wliff veterans, rifle clubs and present anc past members of any military organisation will parade at O’Connor’s Hall, in Tui Street, at 2.15 p.m., from whence they will proceed, headed By the Taihape Brass Band, to the Memorial Service, to be held in the Town Hall. Members of the D Company, 7th Regiment, and of the Senior Cadets, are notified that all must parace on that day—no leave will be given.
