WOMEN'S WORKING CLUB.
At the meeting of the Executive : Committee of the Women's Working Club a circular letter received from Mrs, J. P.. Luke, Mayoress of Welling-: ton, was read, in which'the Club was j asked to furnish a report of about 100 [ words, dealing with the Club's work, ] as it was Intended to compile a book, j placing on record the work done by the various clubs in the Wellington ! military district. It was resolved that the request be I referred to the Secretary to deal with. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded to Mr. J. Capill, for having done the whole of the Club's cartage during the year, free of charge; also to all who so willingly assisted the Club at the Fire Brigade Demonstration held recently. .Resignations from the Executive Committee were received from Mrs. Shute (President) and Messrs Dunbar and Muhro, all of which were accepted with regret. It was unanimously resolved to place on record the gsood work done by the late President, who had* a very active part in the Club since its inception. The annual general meeting was fixed for Tuesday, 23rd inst, and accounts amounting to £4O 19s 4d were passed for payment.
