WITH THE GRAND FLEET. LONDON, April 10. Mr Archibald Hurd writes that a number of American Dreadnoughts have for months past been operating under Admiral Sir David Beatty. The newest vessels carry powerful armament, while their personnel and equipment are of the highest type. Cruisers, gunboats, and valuable small craft are also serving with the Grand Fleet. Thirty-five thousand American officers and men are serving in European waters, and the ftoyal Navy specially appreciates the American co-operation against submarines. A GIGANTIC AEROPLANE. WASHINGTON, April 11. It is officially announced that the United States is building most powerful bombing aeroplanes, which will carry six men and eight machine guns and a large quantity of bombs.
