A Gruesome Find.

MAN KILLED AT OHUTU. A rather gruesome find was made alongside the railway track at Ohutu, about eight o’clock this morning. The mangled body of Alf. Lloyd, a labourer, well known in the Taihap e district, was picked up, evidently having been thrown from the line by Thursday evening’s north-bound express train. The head was very badly smashed, and as blood and hair was found on the cowcatcher of the express it seems that Lloyd may have fell on the line. The deceased had been working in this district at various places, and he was last seen alive on Thursday afternoon after having failed to catch the 3.35 train to Ohutu. It is supposed that he set out to walk to Ohutu, and there met his death. An inquest will be held on Saturday morning, the coroner, Mr. J. P. Al/dridgo ,being absent from Taihape today. .....1,.
