KING’S THEATRE. ‘/Man and His Angel,” a WorldEquitable drama of first-class merit, starring the eminent and pretty actress Jane Grey, will be found to be one of tiro most successful screen productions of the year. “Most emphatically Miss Grey is a success/’ says genuine pleasure to watch her delicate shadings of expression and her consistent characterisation in a role such as Sonia Demitri; the high minded, wholly inspiring heroine of “Man and His Angel,” Without reservation this j picture may be classed clean and j wholesome. The story is quite a pro- I bable one with an adroit plot develop- ! ment. The production in fact, carries S a note of sincerity seldom seen, and therein lies much of its charm.’’ Another well known critic writes: “With the principal characters finely acted j by Jane Grey, who is always as clever j as she is beautiful, and Henri Bergman, the well known Belgian actor, and a carefully prepared story of sound, .sympathetic appeal. “Man and His Angel, ” merits very high commendation/’ Supporting the above is the Oth episode of “The Iron Claw,’’ Gd-opcrativc Weekly, and two good comedies. EVERYBODY’S. J To-morrow’s change of programme at Everybody’s brings on two really fine screen stories. First place is given a Pallas Morosco Paramount drama, “The Intrigue,” a romance over which American critics have shown unwonted enthusiasm, Leon* ore Ulrich, a beautiful and talented actress, has the main part In this story. The plot goes something like this. Turned down by the U.S.A. War Office, Guy Longstreet decides to take his invention, a powerful X-ray gun to the European market. In a foreign court the War Board astonished at the result of a trial commence negotiations. Baron, Rogniat is entrusted with the mission. He leaves for America. However, rumours of the invention have reached’ a ‘rival country. Countess Sonia, a clever and beautiful woman, is deputed to follow the baron and frustrate vlhns. The Countess' outwits the baron by a : clever ruse. As a member of his very household she watches, endeavouring to surprise his Secret. The gun is almost, complete. Papers are promised, but the. baron has misgivings.' “When we have the gun and the papers, even then we will not be safe—the secret will always be in this man’s brain.” Accomplices are called, a plot is formed, and Sonia, horror-stricken, rushes away. The closing scenes are very fine. The other leader is a Easky production, “Those Without r Sin,” featuring the popular actress, .Blanche Sw r eet, in a stirring photoplay of the American Civil War.
