GOLDEN WEDDING.
An interesting event was celebrated at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. W. Archer, Ellis Road, on March 30th, when the two sons, three daughters and eighteen grand-children of this genial old couple foregathered to wish them the very best of good". Luck on the completion of their golden wedding. Mrs. Archer arrived in;/New Zealand on the barque "Shelion" on May 24, 1874,. soon after taking up their residence in Te Kapua district, latterly moving into Taihape, where they have remained ever since, respected and honoured by. all who know them. We congratulate Mr. and Mrs. Archer on the happy consummation of fifty years of married life. % ...-;-... J.
