GREAT TUG-OF-WAR.

At the Catholic Bazaar, the first prize for the Tug-of-War is £ls, the second £5. The pull is limited to 15 minutes and whichever has the advantage then will be declared the winners. The pull will be on boards with scotch-battens 8 inches apart. Teams are asked to make their entries at the earliest moment possible'. Those already entered arc 2 Maori teams; 2 railway teams; 2 Egmont Box Factory teams and a Hibernian team. This will bo one of the finest exhibitions of the Tug that has been seen in this district for a long time. On Saturday there will be held a “Paddy’s Market, when everything from : a hair pin to a crowbar and from a -toothpick to a fine dressed turkey will be on sale in the good old Melbourne Market fashion—don’t miss it.
