LONDON, March 26.

The Amalgamated Engineers’ Executive have sent out ballot papers in reference to the comb-out, accompanied by a statement pointing' out that diluted will be placed in line regiments, preference being given to skilled men, the latter to be utilised mainly as technical units. It is also stated that the Amalgamateds’ intention on those points have thus been met The ballot closes on April sth. The Executive believe the ballot will repudiate the unofficial conference's decision.

Mr. Roberts, Labour Minister, describes the threatened engineers’ strike as execrable at this critical period, when the whole destiny of our country is at stake.
