BURIAL OF MR. REDMOND.
ATTENDANCE OF 30,000.
LONDON, March 10.
The remains of Mr. John Redmond late leader of the Irish Nationalists, were impresively received at Wexford. Belgian nuns, kneeling, linect the railway at Macmine Junction when the special train conveying the body passed. Thirty thousand people followed the remains to the church, where the Requiem Mass was celebrated. The procession subsequent to the funeral extended for two miles. The streets were decked with crape. The Irish Attorney-General, Mr. J. O'Connor, K.C., and Mr. John Dillon delivered orations at the graveside. The correspondent of the "Times" at Dublin states that the funeral at Wexford was the scene of a remark- j able demonstration of respect and ar- i fectionate regret. The hushed as"sem- j Wage of 30,000, including representa- j tives of every party and official and intellectual interest, together" with those of the British, and 'American navies and armies, met the coffin on its arrival from London. The procession passed silently through the heav-ily-draped city, in which there was a complete suspension of business, the bells of the churches of all denominations tolling. -
Clergy from all parts of Ireland attended the Requiem Mass. Eighty priests formed the choir.
