A wireless from Vienna states after suppressing the railway workers’ strike, the authorities dealt drastically with the strikers employed by private firms at Florisdorf and other' suburbs in Vienna. Eighteen leaders were called up for military service, and their followers warned that they also would be called up in twenty-four hours unless they resumed, whereupon all strikes ended* .
