KING'S THEATRE.
There will be a double-star programme at the King's to-night, A
secret service story, with a fresh turn of plot is seen in "The Stolen Treaty,'' by the original Greater Vitagraph. Earle Williams plays" the lead, and with him is a dainty new Vitagraph star Oorinne Griffith. She earns high honours by her exceedingly clever portrayal of the role of the society girl who longs for adventures, and gets a long way more than her share. The story gets going at once and almost straightway, a tremendous scheme of international theft and blackmail is unfolded. Thrilling escapes come thick and fast, and an air of reality is over the whole drama as the scenes are set in modern New York, where such hapepnings, in spite of their perilous nature sem to arrive quite naturally. At a brilliant society function, a society fop makes the ac-
quaintance of a lovely girl. .. All unknown to the world at large the fop is one of the cleverest of the United States Secret Service men, and is watching a well, known Prince who is at the head of a band of dangerous men whoso operations are world-wide. The girl's assistance is called for, and after many stormy and risky times, there is the usual happy ending. ■ The other star will be Charlie Chaplin's latest and most famous production, entitled, "Easy Streets." Competent critic unanimously declare this is the most humorous comedy that this comedian of international fame 'has acted in. There will also be shown the latest Graphic and other pictures.
