The Wanganui Borough Council has appointed a committee to make an enquiry into Fire Brigade matters, the scope of the enquiry to include: (a) The work of the Wanganui Fire Brigade during the recent fires at Foster’s and Willis’s, and the circumstances as to water pressure, etc., under which they worj||d; (b) the equip ment of the Brigade, and the repair and condition of its present plant; (c) the future policy of thevßorough Council with regard to th#-financee. and control of the Brigade; (d) such other questions as may' arise or can profitably be dealt with in the courseof such enquiry.
