THE WOLF'S CAPTURES.

LONDON, March 1.

The "Times" Copenhagen correspondent supplying further details concerning the prisoners on the Igotz Mendi, states that after the Wairuna was captured the Wolf cruised for weeks, hunting between the Kermadecs and Australia, capturing and sinking a number of vessels. She seized a benzine schooner off the New Guinea coast, which enabled her to replenish her seaplanes and stores. The capture of the Matunga gave the Wolf great quantities of food.

The raider then went towards Java, laying a train of mines. She encountered and attacked the Hitachi Maru, which was carrying a cargo of copper and rubber of great value The surprised Japs fought and unluckily lost 12 seamen before surrendering.

HOW THE HITACHI MARU WAS CAPTURED. -

The raider Wolf captured the Hitachi : Maru oh September 29. Fourteen of the crew and two Indians were killed in the fight. The Wolf sank the on November 7th.
