RED TRIANGLE DAY.
HELP FOR A SPLENDID WORK,'
Ever-increasing demands call for additional funds to support, the service of the Y.M.C.A. to our soldiers. The people of New Zealand have now an opportunity of testifying to the excellent work which the Young Men's Christian Association is doing for the men on active service. They will, moreover, he practically assisting in that same good work, the value of which is no longer in douht. There may have been some before the war who were inclined to "tolerate" the Y.M.CA. as "goody-goody;" they have now been converted. The Young Men's Christian Association has proved it* solid work in every military camp in the Empire. It has been the practical Christianity which has attended to the comfort of the soldier, physical, mental, and spiritual.
' The Red Triangle has been the symbol of assistance to the soldier in every camp. If there is one filing' upon which New Zealand is determined, it is that everything possible shall be done for the men who are fighting in our defence. Even then, we can never rexJay them. But what can be done for them should be carried out. The Y.M.C.A. is doing Its best to attend to the w,ants of the soldiers. The work calls for mor e funds. The people of the Dominion can help l~~gely m removing embarrassment. 7:-.ey can, at the same time, publicly acknowledge the value of the work vhich the Y.M.C.A. is doing. Both can be achieved bycontributing to the funds of the Y.M.C;A. on Red Triangle Day.
