Germany’s terms arc interpreted to mean that she desires to make the Baltic Sea a German lake and establish a chain of buffer states between Russia and Germany and secure a footing in the Black Sea across the Ukraine. The last mentioned would have an important bearing on the Eastern situation, making Germany independent of Bulgaria and Turkey, because she would then have new lines of communications from Berlin, ,via Odessa and Trcbizond, bringing Germany deep into Persia and close to India. We reached Jitomir. », PETROGRAD, Feb 25. The Bolsheviks captured Bostoff after street fighting. The Germans entered Wolmar. The Red Guards resisted and then fled. They were mercilessly shot down. The latest news from Finland states that the White Guards are winning everywhere. The Red Guards are quarrelling, brawling, and disuniting. The Red Guards massacred 5000 white's who refuged on the Pellinger Islands. They were mostly students.
GERMAN PEACE TERMS ACCEPTED.
PETROGRAD, Feb 25,
'Allied embassies are leaving Petrograd. The central executive committee of the Soviets agreed to the peace terms by 126 to 85. Krylenko telegraphed to the German General Staff, requesting a renewal of the armistice, in view of Russia’s acceptance of the peace terms.
ENEMY DELEGATES GO TO BREST LITOVSK.
AMSTERDAM, Feb 25
Count von Hertling ihTormea Reichstag that peace delegates have gone to Brest Litovsk. Although a dispute about details is possible, the conclusion of peace must ensue very shortly. It has a population of 80,000, one-half being Esthonians and onefourth German descent. From 1346 to 1561 it was held by the Livonian knights, and it was then made over to Sweden.
