FIVE ENEMY MINES. OFF CAPE FAREWELL. DISCOVERED AND DESTROYED. WELLINGTON, February 25 The Naval Adviser to the New Zealand Government announces the discovery and destruction of five additional mines in the suspected area off Cape Farewell. THE FEILDING ASSAULT. Feilding, this day. The hearing of the charges against McKee and Rowan for assaulting the Revs. Stockwell and Miller after Rev. Howard Elliott's meeting was adjourned till March 13. Accused was represented by outside counsel. EMPIRE PRESS UNION. WELLINGTON, this day. At the annual meeting of the NewZealand branch of the Empire Press Union, which was largely attended bypressmen from all parts of the Dominion, the chairman (Mr. G. Fenwick) delivered an interesting speech on the objects and work of the union. A useful dscussion took place on his motion for the adoption of the report and balance sheet. Mr. Fenwick w T as re-elected chairman, and the retiring committee was also re-elected.
