Various telegrams indicate that the resumption of a state of war between the Central Powers and Russia has produced an Austro-Germa'n cleavage. Austrian newspapers warn Germany against reopening hostilities, wherein Austria does not desire to participate. The Nieu Frie Press points out Austria no longer borders on Russia, therefore she is not compelled to resume hostlities, though she may undertake to protect the communications with Ukraine. We look for help to Germany in our struggle for existence by protecting the northern frontier. We know our voice will be heard.” '■
