A GOOD STORY.

Y.M.C.A field secretary in Palestine tells rather a good story. He says in a letter to his father: "This reminds me of a conversation I had last night with a humorous Scotcnman. 'You have three chances out here in Palestine when you once come out' according to Jock One is to 03 wounded and get to Cairo, the second is to be wounded and get to 'Blighty,' and the third is to be bur r ied in the Holy Land.' The joke Is only conceivable when you have oncd seen the country we are fighting in, for it is nothing more or less than sand and dust. This same Scottlsft lad also cracked another verv apt joke. 'Some people,' says Jock, 'say that we are 'oof here to make history, but I figure that most of us are 'oof here to make geography.' In other words, Jock evidently feels that of the three chances mentioned in his first joke, the third is the most probable."
