AN INTERESTING INCIDENT. An ’interesting sequel -to a Jit tie incident which occurred during the visit of the King and Queen, as Duke and Duchess of York( to Australia, 16 years has just taken place in London, At one town in the Commonwealth, visited by the Royal travellers in 1901, a Mrs. Wharton, who was presented to the Duchess, had with her her pretty boy of four years. The duchess took the little boy. in her arms, and an enterprising photographer secured a snapshot. The child, grown to manhood, is now in the King’s fighting forces and their Majesties ,learning that he was in London, invited him to Buckingham Palace. His Royal hosts received him most kindly, and he was shown over the palace, Wharton’s father joined the Australian Forces early in the war, and, being wmunded, in Gallipoli and afterwards in France, has now returned to Australia.
