WAITING AT THE CHURCH.
An amusing incident, causing embarrassment to those concerned, occurred recently at Holy Trinity, Sloane Square, when the wrong bride arrived at church, where Commander Hubert de B'rugh D. 5.0., E.N., was to be married. A large crowd had gathered outside the church and watched the arrival of the bride. Hardly had she alighted from her carriage when it wasd iscovered that the bridal party had entered the wrong church and that Commander de Burgh, who was waiting a t the altar, was not her bridegroom. The situation was embarrassing,. but the smiling bride reentered her carriage and was driven to St. Peter’s, Eaton, Square, where she was married, the bridegroom m this case also being'a-naval officer Meanwhile Commander de Burgh’s bride, Miss Marjory Buchan, arrived at Holy Trinity, and the wedd’ng proceeded_ It was not until the ceremony was over that she heard of the incident. Colonel Eric de Burgh, bro. ther of the commander, acted as best man. He *is a D. 5.0., awardee* for distinguished service at the front.
