THE PLYING CANTEEN.
A privileged visitor to the front, showed an interest in the art of warfare which became rather troublesome to those about him. whom he
perpetually questioned on the -most trivial matters. Presently his questions stopped and lie began to gaze in admiration at the operations of an observation balloon, little knowing ;ihe work that it was doing. Turning to an Irishman near by he inquired what the balloon was for "Och shuro" s.aid the warrior, "an' it's a canteen for the airmen."
