The National Union of Railwaymen conference at Leicester passed resolutions demanding all-round food rationing, and advised the Unions not to work on Saturdays, when the members should stand in the queues instead of the women.

The Daily Telegraph states that though the demonstration at Glasgow denounced the Man-Power Bill, the general situation at Clyde.during the week-end improved Meetings in various shipyards and engineering shops pledged themselves' to support the Government.

A meeting at Newcastle agreed to support the Amalgamated Engineers' Executive.

Difficulties have arisen In connection with the Allied Socialist Labour Conference in London on the 20th. The French Minority section refuse to participate unless Russia and Italy attend. The Italians insist on the British Socialist Party's participation. The last-named are indignant because they have not been invited. America will not participate.
