TAIHAPE SALE.

Messrs. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., Palmerston North, report having held their usual fortnightly sale a't Taihape on Wedcsnday, the 30th instant, when a fair yarding of both sheep • and cattle came forward. There was a good attendance of buyers, and all lines of sheep met with ready sale. The demand for cattle was somewhat dull, and prices were inclined to be ea'sier: We quote:—Sheep.— 2-tooth ewes 22/6 to 28/, 4 and 6-tooth ewes 29/9, 4-tooth wethers 31/7 to 33/, 2-tooth wethers 26/4 to 39/9, woolly lambs 14/3, shorn mixed lambs 15/, cull lambs 7/. Cattle —2-year steers £ll 5s to £ll* Ss, 18month steers £7 to £7 lis, young bulls £6 5s to £7. 10s, store cows £7 10s to £S 3s 6d.
