KING'S THEATRE.

The star drama at the Kingjs' lotnight will be that masterpiece of Arthur James' entitled "One of Many." Frances Nelson, the cinema star, is suported by distinguished coadjutors. Playing oposite Miss Nelson Is Miles Welsh, one of the most popular young men on the screen. This dprna lays bare the pitfalls that beset the path of young girls who go out into the world to grapple with modern conditions. Especially it flays those who take the attitude that a rich man.can do no wrong, that youth, beauty, and innocence are fit commodities to be sold over a counter, or across a manicure table. The National Board of Censors, -after seeing "One of Many" pronounced it a profound moral lesson, and its entertainment and moral values were described as of unusual strength "It was the majority opinion of those present," the censors announced in their report, "that this was a delicately-handled and dramatic picture, vividly presented and most excellently acted." There are also the "Weekly Review" and two comedies.

THE "ORIGINALS."

There has been no direct appeal made in Taihape, as far as we are aware, for the funds of the Navy League, and the effort to be made by the talented costume concert company The "Originals," at the Town Hall on Wednesday next will have at least the merit of novelty. As stated in our issue yesterday the company consists of the sprightly Auckland girls who have taken this form of doing their "bit" for King and Country. The tntertainment is claimed to be the brightest and breeziest M its kind, and judging from the press notices to hand the "Originals" have more than made good. The music provided by the girls is diversified, and there is not a dull moment from the "soup" to "dessert." The dances have been specially arranged for the company by Miss Vera Maybee, and this combined with the music, will form a special feature of the entertainment. Quite apart from its worthy object, the concert in itself will be well worth seeing. . .
