SOLDIERS DEFY THEIR OFFICERS
LONDON, Jan 26
News from the Austrian front reveals an increasing want of discipline. There is widespread fraternising. The officers are defied by the soldiers, who are demanding peace. It is reported, that the discontent is spreading to the German fronts.
COMPLETE COLLAPSE OF DISCIPLINE.
LONDON, Jan 26. The Daily Chronicle’s Petrograd correspondent reports:— Returning officers from the southwest front state that the Austrian army is demoralised, there being a complete collapse of discipline, like that in the Russian army.
