The State Department has been advised of an increased restiveness in the Slav population of Austria, particularly among the Czechs, The Austrian upheavals are assuming serious proportions.

One hundred thousand workers have struck at Prague, There is a Socialist split at Vienna owing to the Moderate leaders advising resumption of work.
GREAT LABOUR STRUGGLES.

AMSTERDAM, January 25.
Several speakers at a prolonged meeting of workers at Vienna, representing all Austria, declared that the strikes were only the preliminary skirmish of great labour struggles_ The censorship suppressed the strongest statements.

A NEW CABINET FORMED,
LONDON, January 27,
A new Hungarian Cabinet has been formed, with M. Wekerle as Premier. A Buda-Posth telegram states that the King sanctioned the new Government’s proramme, comprising the formation of a National Hungarian Army and the drawing up of a new' AustroHungarian commercial treaty.
