A deputation of London members of the House of Commons interviewed the Shipping Controller to-day with Reference to the report that the Port of London, was being - closed to merchant shipping, pointing out that this would caiiSje a vast -dislocation of labour and trade.

French dirigibles threw several bombs at a submarine. Hits were observed, which seemed to unsteady her. A mine-sweeper thereafter threw some shots, which had apparently taken effect, as a large oil patch was disclosed. ~ >a ■%
