EXCITING SCENES,

There were exciting scenes at Nottingham during the discussion of a resolution condemning the Labour Ministers, Messrs Brace, Barnes, Hodge, Parker and Roberts, for supporting the Government’s agricultural minimum wage of 255, against a Labour amendment in favour of 30s. The resolution was carried by an overwhelming majority.

M. Reanudel, the French Socialist, has informed the Labour Conference that arrangements have been made for convening a meeting of the Labour and Socialist parties in the various countries affected, on February 17th, for the purpose of arriving at an agreement regarding war aims, on British Labour lines.

ANTI-GOVERNMENT RESOLUTION

RESOLUTION DEFEATED.

The Labour Conference shelved a resolution demanding the withdrawal of the Labourites from the Government. They also rejected a proposal that the Labourites in the Government should cease to act on the Labour executive, by a two to one majority.
