Special Advertisements. BOROUGH OF TAIHAPE. RATING AMENDMENT ACT, 1910 (Section 28.) PURSUANT to the provisions of the above-mentioned Act, PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that an additional charge of ten per centum will be added to all rates due and unpaid after the 16th day of February, 1918. Legal proceedings will be taken, without further notice, for the recovery of all rates remaining unpaid together with the ten per cent additional charge thereon after such date. BOROUGH OF TAIHAPE. FARES CHARGEABLE BY LICENSED TAXI-CAB DRIVERS. (By-law 271.) PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that the Taihape Borough Council has fixed the following as the fates chargeable by drivers of licensed taxicabs within the Borough of Taihape, as from the Ist day of February, 1918. Between the hours of 8 a.m. and S p.m.:—For the use of the whole vehicle up to and including four persons, and not per head for each person riding therein, within the hereinafter defined area 2s (two shillings). All other parts of the Borough, two shillings and sixpence. For all extra passengers over and above the number of four, one shilling (Is) per head extra. Between the hours of 8 p.m. and 1 p.m., fare'' and a-half; between G a.m. and S a.m., fare and a-half; between 11 p.m. and 6 a.m. as per ar- ! ran gem en t. AREA FOR TWO-SHILLING FARES ABOVE-MENTIONED: Starting at the Bridge across the Otaihape Stream, thence along the Main Road to Weka Street, down Weha Street to the street running parallel with the Oval Domain to its junction with Huia Street. Along Huia Street in a north-easterly direction to the Main road, thence along the Main road to McEwan's corner (section 10 Block XVI) Thence along the unformed road called Moa Street between : blocks XVI . and XVIII to Birch's Road.' Thence along Birch's Road to the Presbyterian Church Manse on section 34 Taihape suburban, thence back along Birch's Road to what is known as Carver Street, and along this street to its junction with Pipi Street, thence in a westerly direction along Pipi Street to Mataroa Road at the Public Pound corner, thence from the Pound corner along Mataroa Road to Main Street, along same to R. Wilson's corner, thence along Kaka Road to what Is known as Luke Street, thence down Luke Street to the Otaihape Stream, thence along the Otaihape stream rosd to what is known as Luke Street, thence down Luke Street to the Otaihape stream, thence along the Otaihape stream road to the starting point. The above schedule of fares to be exhibited conspicuously in every licensed taxi-cab Dated at Taihape this 23rd day of January, 1918. J F. MENZIES, Town Clerk.
