REDUCTION OF WHEAT GROWING ADVOCATED, Received 9.10. SYDNEY, this day. Mr. Ashford, Minister of Lands, addressing the Producers’ Conference, advocated reducing the wheat area to a minimum sufficient to meet the domestic requirements of New South Wales and Queensland owing to shipping and financial problems. "If wc cannot,” he added, "have meat as well as wheat, lot us have whichever is most satisfactory in all phases of production and profit. ’ ’
