PRISONERS RESCUED,

LONDON, January 18.
An armed gang rushed a train, at Burtonport, in County Donegal, overpowered the military escort and rescued two deserters. The escapees made off in a motor car and the rescuers dispersed through the countryside. Another gang attempted to break into Jthe'' police office W* Ennis, pn County Clare. The police fired on 'and dispersed the gang.
