BRITISH COAST BOMBARDED BY ENEMY SHIP'S.

Official.—Yarmouth was bombarded from the sea coast last night. Fire opened at 10.55 and lasted for five minutes. Twenty shells fell in the town Latest reports show that three people were killed and 10 injured. The damage was serious.
AMERICA GETTING TO WORK.

Mr McAdoo has asked for 484,000,000 dollars for the construction of additional merchantmen, making a total of 2,500,000 dollars.
THE CONVOY DISASTER,
LONDON, January 14.
Sir Eric Geddes stated that the 'Admiralty had confirmed the finding of the court of inquiry that the escorting vessels did their best to protect the Scandinavian convoy, as cabled on the 17th of December. The escort fought in a proper and searnanlike manner and the covering forces took all possible steps to conic to their assistance and to prevent the escape of the enemy. The Board were of the opinion that the circumstances preventing the covering forces from arriving in time were unpreventable. Admiral Beatty's disposition was the "best possible with his available forces.
