FRENCH MANIFESTO.
TO THE RUSSIAN PEOPLE. LONDON, January 4. Tcheeherin and Petroff, two Russian Internees whose release M. Trotsky demanded, have left St. Paneras for Eussia. 'After leaving Brixton prison Tcheeherin had a long interview with Mr. Arthur Henderson, who explained the views of the Labour party. There was a demonstration as the ' train steamed out and the Russian internatI ionalc was sung. French Radicals, Republicans and Socialists have issued a stirring manifesto to the Russian Republicans refusing to believe that :MpJ abandon I themselves to the dicta M-of Prussian militarism and forget their ancient friendship. "The actions of Lenin and | rot *|| sadden us," says the mani- :,:- f esto, rbut work for the public safety, , though hindered by treason, will be continued by the French souliers and their Allies.
