PILES CUE*SD. Piles rarely kill, but they cause ooik stant torture. This is especially tru« in the case of those who are over so slightly constipated. Piles can bo quickly and permanently cured, without pain, cutting, or detention from business. This has been proved in thousand cases in both sexes, and of all ages, and in the very worst as well as in ordinary cases. No one who has not suffered the torments of itching, painful, and bleeding piles can appreciate tor a moment the marvellous sense or relief that follows the use of Doan’s Ointment. Go at once and get a pot of this ointment; it will end your sufferings. Mrs S. J. Foster, 33 Warwick Street, Feilding, says: "My advice to all who suffer from Piles -is to use Doan’s Ointment at once, and I am sure they will derive great benefit from doing so. I have proved it to be a splendid remedy. A member of my family suffered agony from itching and protruding piles, the pain and irritation being at times almost unbearable, this being especially the case at night or in warm weather. We tried all sorts of remedies, but none of them seemed to do any good. One day I was fortunate enough to hear of Doan’s Ointment being a sure cure for Piles, so we sent for a pot, and commenced using it at once. It was marvellous how quickly this ointment relieved the irritation, and before two pots were used a perfect cure was effected. Four ! years have elapsed since then, and during' all that time there has been no return of Piles, so I regard the cure as permanent.” Four years later Mrs Foster says: “The above cure has proved a permanent one. I need say no more; the facts speak for themselves.” When we say that Doan’s Ointment will cure Piles, we mean exactly what we say, nothing more or less, and we are able to make this emphatic statement backed by such evidence as the above. Doan’s Ointment is sold by all chemists and storekeepers at 3s per pot, or will bo posted on receipt of price by Foster-McClellan Co., 76 Pitt Street, Sydney, But, bo sure you get DOAN’S. 5

HUN ON FLANDERS BATTLE. ENDLESS ROWS OP ENEMIES. The Berlin “Post” publishes a letter from the field headed “In the Flanders Hell,” in which the writer says that the struggle just experienced surpasses anything the Germans have so far known. Nothing, he says, remained intact under the British fire, and the smoke bombs caused a fog compared to which real fog is patenwork. Gas clouds, too, had a singular effect on the German arms, covering all the metal with thick rust Suddenly drum-fire began with the most frightful effect, 15, 12, and 9-incli shells rolling up with mines, machinegun; volleys, and bombs. German nerves, he continued, held out with, the utmost resolution, always expecting the moment when a thunderstorm of fire should break loose. And the storm came. In a neighbouring section flame-throwers began, a nd against this murderous method no measures avail. Now we had the enemy on our neck. Tank after tank rolled forward. These monsters appeared invincible, and if one was hit by the heavy artillery the guns and machine-guns continued to work. Behind the tanks came Scots and Canadians. We saw nothing but endless rows of enemies. Finally our reserves made a coun-ter-attack. Murder broke out afresh, till gradually the enemy was pressed to the border of our former lines. The battle ebbed hway, but no rest came. p Rheumatism Banished I BY 8 Rheumallnc-Oxygena.
