PUKEOKAHU ANNUAL PICNIC.

All those who have attended the Pukcokahu annual picnic in previous years know that it is one of the most pleasurable events that take place in this district. 'As in former years it will bo held on the 22nd January, (Anniversary Day), a public holiday, and as usual everybody is invited, and everything is free. The Pukeokahu settlers dip deep into their own pockets to provide all the entertainment, fun and refreshment, they will not allow their visitors to pay anything. Strange to relate, it is found that after everything is paid for there is always a fair sum left, which last year was given to patriotic funds, a similar course is to be folowed on the occasion of .’the picnic. Mr. W. Beuck, is again acting as secretary and he assures those who can make it convenient to accept the Pukcokahu invitation that, if anything, the picnic will bo a greater success than in previous years.
