The German newspapers attribute Admiral Jellicoei; retirement to the success of the submarines, and declare that -he has fallen a victim, like other Admiralty chiefs, to the U-boats. The Cologne Gazette, referring to Admiral Wemyss' successful evacuation of Gallipoli, says: "We look forward pleasurably to witnessing simiar skill when the British Army in France will be "sent home." AMERICAN DESTROYERS' HAUL. FOUR GERMAN SUBMARINES. U-BOAT MUTINIES AND SURRENDERS. Received 8.40. NEW YORK, Dec 30. A returned journalist states that four submarines were captured by twelve American torpedoers. The submarines were lying on the surface, with conning towers open, when the destroyers arrived and captured them without a- fight. Another submarine, flying a white flag, arrived at a French port to surrender. The crew had mutinied and killed their officers. NAVAL OFFENSIVE URGED TO OPPOSE HINDENBURG STRATEGY. Received 11.30. PARIS, Dec 30. Le Matin declares that the hour has come to oppose Hindenburg's strategy by a great sea offensive.
