MUTINY OF GERMAN TROOPS

Amsterdam. Information has leaked out from a trustworthy source that a grave military mutiny took place last week at Cologne barracks. Out of a force of infantry which was ordered to proceed to the Flanders front 2000 refused to obey the orders of their colonel and destroyed their rifles and equipment. An attempt was made by the general in command at Cologne to calm the men, but they retaliated'with a shower of stones, and the general was compelled to leave the uarracks. Later in the day the mutineers were arrested and twenty six of the ringleaders were tried by court-martial.
