ON THE SEA.
ARMS FOUND ON A FREIGHTER. NEW YORK, December 25. A Federal official at a Pacific port found several hundred rifles and reI volvers and quantities of ammunition concealed in a freighter. The cartridges were similar to those used by the Germans. It is believed that the arms were intended for use on a Pacific raider, but that the plans were defeated.
