HAIG’S RECALL.
SUGGESTED IN PARLIAMENT. LONDON, Dec 21. In the House of Commons, LieutColonel J. C. Wedgwood, D. 5.0., declared that the House had the right to consider three points with reference to Field-Marshal Haig—first, that he was over-optimistic; second, that as a cavalry officer he believed it was possible to use cavalry in breaking through; and third, when a large army had not fulfilled expectations, the best way to restore its morale was to change the head. Mr J. T. Macpherson, Under-Secre-tary for War, promised to bring these points to the attention of the highest authorities.
