THE KING'S A programme of outstanding merit will be shown at the opening of the New King's Theatre to-night, The premier attraction will be the drama "The Foolish Virgin." Thomas Dixon, the author of the '' Birth of a Nation'' and "The Clansman, and other great modern novels, produced a thrilling and dramatic story in "The Foolish Virgin," whose picturisation by the Clara Kimball Young Corporation has proved such a success. The cast is a powerful one, headed by Clara Kimball Young, as beautiful as ever and suited by a role of supreme pathos and intensity. Conway Tearle, who played opposite to her in "The Common Lav.-," Paul Capellani, who also played in '' The Common Law" and "The Dark Silence," head the supporting players. The story is based on the disillusionment of a girl who has found her knight errant in the first, man who makes love to her, marries him to find that he is a moral leper, money mad, and criminal in his instinct. The scenes that follow her discovery are almost trrible in their pathos, and Miss Young's acting rises to the very highest level. The photography is peculiarly beautiful, and there are some wonderful scenes when the action changes to the wild mountain country of Kentucky. Capellani, the director whose association with Clara Kimball Young has been so successful, served one year with the French Army, and was discharged medically unfit. He has with him, too, Henri Menessier, scenic artist, and Jacques Montera, both wounded heroes of the Arras campaign. The first episode of "The Mystery of the Submarine" will also be shown. This is considered to be a splendid serial. Picture patrons may have free storage for cycles and cars at Nicholls' garage next door.

EVERYBODY'S A double-star programme will tonight be screened at Everybody's.
