STILL WORRYING ABOUT FLANDERS The German General Staff is now whining about the "bloody warfare" to which Sir Douglas Haig is subjecting the German armies in Flanders. But it plainly gi/as awwv that the Staf pines for cessation of "bloody warfare' by trying to make Germans believe that "influential circles in England are now clamouring for less sanguinary methods.' Ludendorff, who circulates a tale to this effect, explains that the clamour has been brought about principally by the losses suffered in recent fighting on the western front by Australian and New Zealand divisions.
