WIDESPREAD ARTILLERY WORK BRITISH AEROPLANE EXCURSIONS. Received 10.5. LONDON, Dec 19. Sir Douglas Haig reports: We repulsed raiders southward of Fontaine le Croiselles. Hostile artillery is active eastward of Bullecourt and between the Lys and Armentieres, also eastward of Bullecourt, between Lens and Armentieres, eastward and northward of Ypres. . Our aeroplanes, on Monday, bombed an aerodrome near Courtrai, the Roulers station and aerodrome, and the Ledeghem Menin stations. INTENSE ARTILLERY DUEL. ON THE RIVER MEUSE. Received 10.5. LONDON, Dec 19. A French communique /reports somewhat intense artillery duelling on the right bank of the Meuse especially in the region of Cauriere Wood and Bezonvaux. HAIG'S REPORT. BRITISH STRAIGHTEN THEIR LINE. LONDON. Dec 18. Sir Douglas Haig reports: In the neighbourhood of the Royelle-sur-Les-caut-B'ourlon Wood salient we withdrew a short distance to the south west during the night of the 4th-sth, without interference from the enemy, who was unaware of the movement until late yesterday. South-westward ,of La Vacquerie we have advanced our line slightly.
