THE RUSSIAN E-CZ'AR REAPING RESULT OF TREACHERY Received 10.50 PETROGRAD, December 16 A meeting of the Israailovsky and the Petrogradsky regiments resolved, on the immediate removal of the exCzar, with Alix and family, to Kronstadt, or to the fortress of Peter and Paul; also the cancellation of all privileges. While the meeting was in progress a report was circulated that the ex-Czar had escaped, but the report is not confirmed. LIMITATION OF PROFITS RECOMMENDED CONTINUATION J - ' Received 10.50 LONDON, December 16 The second report of the Select Committee on National Expenditure recommends that the Government should, as far as possible, avoid the accruing of new credits for financing the war, and should institute an inquiry into the actual cost of living to workers, The committee advocated that the limitation of profits should be continued and strengthened.
