The Minister of Marine, in an interview, stated there had been real progress in the fight againift submarines. France has now a number of special light draught chasers, also that German submarine crews are less enterprising, and are supplied with inferior | munitions. { f PORTUGUESE TOWN BOMBARDED ENEMY SUBMARINE AT WORK. LISBON, Dec 15. An enemy submarine bombarded JFunchal for- twenty minutes, firing forty shells, which caused casualties and destroyed; houses and a church.
