TORPEDOED AUSTRIAN BATTLESHIP. A DARING ITALIAN ATTACK. Received 8.35. ROME, Dec. 14. - Details of the sinking of the Wein show that two torpedo boats out eight cables protecting the entrance, to Trieste Harbour, and removed the mines. They found the Wien unprotected by nets and Austrian searchlights failed to pick up the torpedo boats which launched torpedoes against the Wien and another battleship. Indescribable confusion followed among Austrian ships in the harbour The torpedo-boats escaped amidst violent fire from shore batteries.
